Dr. Eva Pappas is a Clinical Psychologist and Psychoanalyst who lives and practices in New York City. She is a facilitator of parent groups at the Family Association of DAYTOP, a trainer at enhancement workshops and the Director of Education of the Daytop Family Association Board. Dr. Pappas received her Ph.D. at NYU and her psychoanalytic certification at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, NYC.

As a psychologist and supervisor of psychotherapists, Dr. Pappas' work includes treating families who develop anxieties over their drug-influenced children. She also supervises psychotherapists in their work with families of drug-influenced children.

Eva is married with three children, two of whom are twins. She comes from a Greek-American background and she has lived in New York City for most of her life.

One of her guiding pholosophies is that everyone is accountable for their behavior. She believes that thoughts and feelings are always acceptable, no matter what, and that each individual's journey is to understand his or her thoughts and feelings, and to try to live with them according to his or her values. She believes that behavior, however, requires selection and judgment and the willingness to be responsible and accept consequences.
